Centrifugal Feeders
Centrifugal Feeders
The use of a Centrifugal Feeder Bowls is ideal for simple parts and where the primary purpose is to achieve a high feed rate.
The centrifugal feeder consists of a conical central driven rotor surrounded by a circular bowl wall. The feeder spins and separates component parts utilising rotary force and the parts revolve with high speed and are pulled to the outside of the bowl.
MAIN FEATURES OF CENTRIFUGAL FEEDERS
This equipment is usually used in installations in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, packaging and bottling industries which, due to technological advances and market needs, have developed their machines with a view to maximum production.
BENEFITS OF CENTRIFUGAL FEEDER
Benefits of centrifugal feeders include high speed of part processing. Centrifugal feeders are a good alternative to vibratory bowl feeders that can handle up to 3,000 parts per minute whilst also sorting and orientating components of different sizes and shapes. The simple design, high reliability and low maintenance make this solution very cost-effective.
WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF CENTRIFUGAL MECHANICAL FEEDERS?
Centrifugal Feeders have the same function as Vibratory Feeders, i.e. to create a flow of parts positioned at a given rate, but their driving force is based on the action of an electric motor, generally a three-phase motor which, by means of a combination of gears (reducer) transmits a rotational force to the specific element (plate) which has the task of selecting and orienting the parts arranged in bulk on it.
